College costs are soaring higher than ever. The cost of tuition continues to go up. According to recently released reports from the College Board, most students and their families can expect to pay from $95 to $1,404 more than last years fees, depending on the type of college.
The best thing about the high tuition rates is that the amount of financial aid is much greater. This impacts me a lot as a student because the tuition rates at many schools are not affordable for me or many of my peers.
Did you know that, according to a 2007 College Board Study, Education Pays, people with a bachelor's degree earn over 60 percent more than those with only a high school diploma? Over a lifetime, the gap in earning potential between a high school diploma and a B.A. is more than $800,000.
So as you can see the sacrifices you make towards getting your college education are more than repaid for in the long run.

Rumor has it that in my home town (Syracuse NY) anyone who grew up in Syracuse and went to public schools will get a full scholarship to Syracuse University! Thats almost 180,000 dollars for free! I think it is an effort to keep students from leaving the public school system. If I had a child living in Syracuse I would def send them to public school to get such a deal, in fact, I might go back to high school myself!
Oh yea, by the way... the first student to respond to my comment gets a free lunch from me this month! It's on me as long as it is under ten dollars(I had to pay for college to ya know)
Start blogging people!
I think thats a great way to keep students in public school. I personally dont think there is anything wrong with public school. BUt I do agree with the scholarship has to offer.
You dont have to buy lunch for me raymond
Yes college is worth every penny, but lets be for real now, it should not cost that much. Yes, there are scholarships and grants that people can apply for to match where they fall short in financial aid, but on the other hand you have to have certain situations. For example, i need $33,000 a year to go to the school of my choice and i have two scholarships. The scholarships only equal up to $4,000. Tbat leaves me with $29,000 i have to come up with. I have been searching and searching for more scholarships but my parents income is too high. Many scholarships require that you submit your parents W-2 forms to show that you need money. I do need money, but according to the books my parents can afford to pay out of thier pockets for me to go to college. Is that fair, cause it surely isn't true?
yeh thats true, college fees are extremely high. but which one is more important becoming smarter, and earning a degree where you will be able to work and do what YOUR interested in doing while making alot of money, or paying off college fees where is just like another bill where you can pay a lump some every month.( if your earning alot of money them monthly payments wont be a big deal anyways!)
