From my point of view, I find this very stupid to force the students to delete their pages. Even if the students abide by this rule, there are still many social websites available online.
Do you think the school is being irrational? If you attended this school, would you delete your profile or go against the school's orders? Explain your answers

omg that is sooo stupid if i went there i would keep my myspace
I think that the principal of St. Hugo is overreacting. I think that the principal should restrict myspace internet access in the school but not student’s altogether. Studies prove that when people especially young adults want to do something they are going to do it regardless. Students that want to keep their profiles will probably create a new myspace page under a new e-mail account and different profile names.
Nashae, I think you bring up a very good point. I do believe the school is trying their best to keep their students safe. However, Sydney, you too bring up a valid counterpoint to their line of reasoning. There are other social networks out there on the internet...so will this ban really accomplish what they intended to do? All very great points ladies.
i think that isnt a good idea. i mean, i know that there are many people who go "over board" with their myspace that turns the sight, which is made for making friends and making your bands well known, into a slutish and nasty site. there are even people with myspaces who just want to become popular and show off their new outfit. NOW THATS DUMB!
